VE Commodore Service Reminder Reset

Has the service reminder light appeared on your VE Commodore dashboard? This light simply means your vehicle is due for a service. Usually, mechanics reset it after completing the service — but if you’ve done the maintenance yourself, you can easily reset the service light manually.

Here’s a quick guide on how to reset the service reminder on your VE Commodore:

Step 1: Turn the ignition to the ON position (don’t start the engine). Press and hold the trip button on the steering wheel.

Step 2: Keep holding the button until “Service Reset” appears on the dashboard display. Once it shows, release the trip button.

Step 3: Press and hold the enter button for about 3–5 seconds. You might hear a beep, and the message should disappear from the screen.

That’s it — your VE Commodore service reminder is now reset!

Most vehicles have a similar manual reset process, so you don’t need any special tools for this. However, if you’d like to check fault codes, clear engine lights, or view live data from your car, consider using one of our OBD-AUS OBD2 scan tools. They make diagnostics and monitoring simple.

If the reset doesn’t work the first time, try locking the car, then unlocking it and repeating the steps.
