Note that OBD2 Australia will not be held liable for any damage this cable and software may cause to your computer or your vehicle. As you are dealing with free, outdated and unsupported software, support will only be provided for the hardware (the cable). Installation and usage of this free software is at your own risk. We do not provide activation keys for it as well. May or may not work with other software apart from VCDS. If you need newer versions of VCDS you can try to find it via external sources online. Again, support is limited for this item and only covers the hardware. No software support will be provided. If the software you acquired does not connect to your vehicle, chances are you have the incorrect or incompatible version, which is NOT indicative of a faulty cable per se. You may need to research first to find out which VCDS version will work for your vehicle. You must also take into account the model year, chassis and the market where your vehicle is released in. This will not work with CAN-BUS vehicles (which may or may not be 2004 earlier or later) so it is imperative that you check what protocol your vehicle has first before purchase. Please consult with us to confirm compatibility. All returns due to incompatibility will be subject to our terms and conditions. In some cases VCDS will show a ‘low quality cable’ warning. As long as the cable works (provided you are within compatibility), you can ignore this warning and operate as normal. This is due to the fact that VCDS prefers the more expensive cables that they market (such as the Ross Tech cables). This is NOT INDICATIVE of a ‘faulty’ cable or ‘not as described’ case and as such returns for this reason will be subject to our Returns Policy and Terms & Conditions.
