Update for Installation: It’s now easier to install. We suggest using Virtual Machine on your computer as this cable is designed for 32 bit computers and most have 64 bit operating systems. This makes it much easier to install and setup.
This is the cable need when you want to have the full diagnostic Toyota dealer tool Techstream installed on your computer and use it to interface with your Toyota or Lexus car. If you do not already have Toyota Techstream installed, see HERE for an external guide on how it is installed.

PLEASE READ THE BELOW
Note that OBD2 Australia will not be held liable for any damage this cable and software may cause to your computer or your vehicle. As you are dealing with third-party, free, outdated and unsupported software, support will only be provided for the hardware (the cable). Installation and usage of this free software is at your own risk. We do not provide activation keys for it as well. If you need newer versions of Techstream you can try to find it via external sources online. Again, support is limited for this item and only covers the hardware. No software support will be provided. If the software you acquired does not connect to your vehicle, chances are you have the incorrect or incompatible version, which is NOT indicative of a faulty cable per se. You may need to research first to find out which Techstream version will work for your vehicle. You must also take into account the model year, chassis and the market where your vehicle is released in.
Does this software work with Australian models?
Yes. It is compatible with models worldwide in all regions.
Can I program smart keys?
Yes you can, however, you must have the original smart ECU in your vehicle.
Does this work with Windows 10?
Yes. We have tested and confirm that it works on Windows 10. Please make sure you have the latest version of Java installed. However for ease of installation it can be better to run a virtual machine on laptop.

Cable works fine. I am using a, let’s say customised to work Techstream that’s 64 bit compatible and has a password workaround and Xhorse drivers ect. The Virtual Box one is far too slow and buggy.

I had to download an earlier version of VirtualBox to work with a 32 bit Windows 7. I then had to download and install a later version of TechStream into the virtual XP, to find my 2001 Series 95 Diesel Prado. Once the software problem was resolved the OBD Toyota Techstream Diagnostic Cable works well. I now have the error codes and I now know why I hate my Prado!!

Seems to work good but I’m still no wiser as to my problem. I was really hoping I would see some misfire history on a cylinder but nope.
