My 2008 Renault Kangoo van has the OBD2 connector hidden away under the LHS passenger dash board. When my ELM327 was plugged in, I couldn’t see the LEDs.
The OBD2 extension cable with power switch means that I can see the ELM327 LEDs, and switch the ELM327 off when not in use – i.e. not draining the car battery.
