1. The unit needs a 12V + and – connected. This only needs to be powered when you need the repeater to be working so can be connected to accessory power.
2. Position: we suggest mounting near the rear of the vehicle down low or on the drawbar of the trailer.
3. If possible, you can rig it up and test before mounting to ensure the position is ok where you want to mount it.
4. Unit will start working automatically once hooked up and will beep every 5-10 mins.
We include a test wire kit that allows you to setup repeater easily and test where it should go. You can power it from a cigarette plug or a 12V battery.

NOTICE: When using a steel canopied ute (or similar vehicle) please contact us first with a photo of your set-up so we can advise the best mounting position. Steel canopies, even with a repeater/booster, can still block signal transmission so the repeater will need to be mounted in an area wherein the steel canopy is not blocking the way between the repeater and the display unit.
