TPMS Internal Tyre Watcher C – TPMS system to monitor your vehicles tyre pressures and temperatures for 4 wheels. Easy to install display unit and with internal sensors that need the tyres removed to be fitted. The display unit is design to stick to your windscreen so it is easy to see and keeps your dash clutter free as it is solar powered* so it is always charged and does not need any external cables.

Great system to ensure your tyre pressure matches the conditions and you do not get caught out with a slow leak or over inflated tyres causing blow outs. Quality unit built using a German manufactured chip to ensure reliable and accurate readings. 4 internal sensors built tough and to OEM specifications so that they last in Australian conditions. And yes you can add an extra sensor to this kit to give you 5 sensors** if you need an extra for the spare tyre.

Great TPMS setup for your 4WD or car when you have only 4 tyres that need live pressure monitoring. Easy to install and the system turns off and on automatically as the sensors are activated by movement. You can also choose bar or PSI as your setting so you can choose the unit of measure that you prefer. Can also be used on your caravan or trailer* as can handle distance of up to 10m from dash to axle.

Live Data

The tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) monitors tyre pressure/temperature status in real time, which will transmit data (Tyre pressure and Temp) to the screen on your dash/windscreen and has an alarm and flashing warning icon if there is a problem. When there is no problems the sensors will transmit every 10 minutes and if there is issues they will transmit and update data in real time

This unit has both user set alarms and auto alarms.

  • User Set High & Low Pressure: The user can set an alarm for a low pressure and high pressure. The system will then alarm if the tyres go outside these values.
  • User Set High Temperature Alarm: The user can set an alarm for an high temperature value and the system will alarm when this value is reached. Temp increases can show a number of issues not just related to tyres.
  • Auto Pressure Alarm: If there is an increase or decrease in pressure that is outside of normal conditions the system will alarm.
  • Auto Temp Alarm: If there is an increase in temperature outside of normal conditions the system will alarm.
  • Low Battery Alarm: If the sensors batteries are getting low you will get a battery alarm as it is time to change sensors batteries.

Wide Application

This TPMS system is suitable for any vehicle with four tyres with the maximum pressure of 85psi. You have a wide range to set your low and high pressure alarms and this is easy to do. Also you can set the temperature alarm so you will get a warning if it reaches this level. Temperature can be handy as this can link to other issues such as bearing issues etc.

Long Range

Long wireless range up to 10m* so no problem if you need to use them on a longer vehicle or on your wheels of your caravan or trailer you are towing*. With this range you can be confident that you will get accurate readings to the tyre pressure monitoring display on your dash.

Digital display

LCD screen that sticks to you windscreen, comes with a quality sticking pad so you can choose where you want to put your system. Attaching to the window screen allows you to be able to easily see the display and keeps clutter off your dash. Bright backlight and easy to read numbers allows you to see the status of your tyres easily. LCD has been designed to handle the hot temperatures that we get in Australia. With vertical polarisation so that you can still see the screen if you have polarised sunglasses on.

Power supply

Solar charging so you can just stick it and forget it. Has a built in battery so if you do not see any sun for a few days that is not a problem. Also, it turns off when there has been no movement from the wheels so no problem when stored in garage or under cover.

Internal Wheel sensors

Which are easy to install but do require the tyre to be removed so can be best to have it done at the tyre shop, have a two year battery life* and are weather proof. Built to last and be accurate with accuracy +/- .15psi. You can get spare sensors HERE.

Display Size: 92mm x 87mm x 50mm

Do they do temperature readings?

Yes the sensors read both the pressure and temperature in your tyres. This is then displayed on the LCD. It is very interesting to see the relation between temperature and tyre pressure. This can also help you detect problems early if there is a higher temperature in one tyre.

Will the tyre sensors last?

Yes we have tried and tested these units to make sure that they last with what Australia can dish at them! Dust, Salt Water, Water, Sand, Corrugations, Dust, Corrugations, Dust…

Can I use 5 sensors as want one on my spare tyre?

Yes you can with this setup you can add an extra sensor giving you 5 sensors. However it will only show this sensor if there is an issue with the tyre pressure or temperature. If there is an issue with any tyre it will go to this screen and stay on it. Just need to buy one of these sensors.

Does this come with batteries and can I get spare batteries and spares?

Yes the tyre sensors all come with batteries installed and also 4 spare batteries to put in the glovebox. And for replacement batteries they take a common CR1632 type battery that you can buy from supermarkets etc. Also yes we do sell spare wheel sensors and parts if needed. Spare sensors are HERE.

Do I need to balance my tyres after installing the sensors?

As the tyres need to be removed to fit these sensors you are most likely at a tyre shop and the wheels should be balanced after tyre fitment.

How does its solar power work?

When solar energy is available, the device will use solar energy to power itself, and not use stored power in the battery. When it’s overcast or dark, this is when the device uses stored battery power. The device also charges the battery via solar (when available and not in use) but it’s not as fast nor as powerful as USB charging, so if you rely on solar power alone to charge it, it will eventually run flat. We recommend charging via USB (cables acquired separately) until full once you receive the unit. You will only need to do this once (if solar energy is frequently available) prior to first use. The device must be directly exposed to sunlight in order for the solar panels to efficiently charge the unit. Tinted glass or a shady location on your dash will hamper this efficiency.

What happens if I rotate my tyres?

There is a function on the display unit that allows you to swap positions of the sensors. This is an easy process and takes around 30 seconds. Just make sure you take note of the rotation direction/position.

Use Cases: Where it came in handy

  1. Notice that one of my tyres was losing pressure on the TPMS unit display when I would start up in the morning. Looked fine visually but hard to tell. Swapped two sensors around to make sure it was not a sensor playing up and the pressure was still going down. Off to the tyre shop and they checked it out and found a nail in there which was giving a slow leak. Would never have noticed otherwise and would have been driving around with only 29psi in the tyre.
  2. Great system to see how much pressure really is in them and what it goes up to when driving on the sand. The deflator gauges normally show 1-2psi higher so can squeeze a bit more out of them. Also helped me pick up when I had lost some air after a massive bump from 12psi down to 8psi. So could pump it back up and not roll it off the rim so easy.

How it works:

When you open your car it detects the vibration and the windscreen unit will turn on showing last pressures and temps when you stopped last. Then you start driving and this wakes up the wheel sensors. These then sends updated data to the dash unit every 10mins this may seem like a long time but it means long battery life and if there is anything wrong it changes to 15 seconds. If there is an issue with pressure or temperature (Pressure too high or low, Quick Increase or Decrease in pressure or High Temp) then it will send data every 15 seconds to keep you updated. When one of these things happens you will also get a flashing display and alarm (Beep, Beep). Once you hop out of the car the dash unit will turn off after 10 mins.

*Batteries may or may not last up to two years on some units (depending on use and battery condition). Batteries not covered by the product warranty.

“Fantastic and easy to install. Have put two units in my Ranger one for the ute and one for van.”

“Great to have and allows me to ensure I have the correct pressure in my tyres to ensure I get the best out of them.”

“Interesting to see the pressure when on the sand and how much it goes up. I let them down to 10psi which is really 11psi and then after some driving they are up to 13-14psi.”

Video Series

Setting Alarms – This is when you will get a warning for low or high pressure readings. Also the high temperature alarm.

*Some caravan setups may need a repeater and the external sensor version. This all depends on your set-up (length, obstacles etc.). If you are experiencing sensor drop-outs on a caravan set-up (even if within operating range) with this unit then a repeater and the external sensor version may be necessary. The performance of this unit is subjective on caravan set-ups. It may work on some and not on others. OBD2 Australia suggests using a repeater and the external sensor version only when needed.

*A +/- 10° or +/- 0.15 psi is to be expected from data readouts.

**5th tyre/spare data is not displayed real time as the display only has room for four main sensors. If an issue with the 5th tyre/spare comes up, the display will automatically scroll to that. There is currently no option to force the display to show the 5th tyre/spare data when there are no issues with it.
