Thank you for purchasing your FORSCAN USB cable from us and we are sure you will be amazed at what you can now access on your Fords & Mazdas.

Step 1: Do not plug in the cable. Download the Driver for your cable first: HERE

Step 2: Click on X64 at the end of file name if you have 64bit windows and click on X86 at end of file name if you have 32 bit windows.

Step 3: Plug your cable into your computer.

Step 4: Go to Device Manager in your computer settings and expand the other devices and Ports (COM & LPT).

Please ensure that on Device Manager, these below do not have a Yellow Exclamation Mark beside it.

  1. FT232R USB UART
  2. Prolific USB-to-Serial…
  3. USB Serial Port
  4. USB2.0-Serial
  5. Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge
Step 5: Open FORSCAN on your computer, select the Gear Icon, then Connection then ensure it is set to AUTO or FTDI (if using a USB version of our cable).

You are good to go!

If unable to connect still, send the following below to support@obd2australia.com.au in order for us to diagnose the problem:

1. A screenshot of the FORSCAN Log or the Log file itself.
2. A screenshot of Connection Settings of FORSCAN.
3. A screenshot of your Device Manager, with COM Ports and or Other Devices Expanded.

Note that this device requires the set-up to be executed correctly in order for it to work. Just because the set-up was done incorrectly, causing the device not to work, does not immediately mean it’s faulty
